C-beam can be used in homes and offices as a work desk, a conference table or an informal dining table. When developing the table, our objective was to address today's lifestyles as well as economic realities by offering durable quality at a relatively affordable cost. Also our intent was to develop a true eco-friendly piece with a genuine modernist and urban feel and to avoid the expected earthy-flavored look and feel of typical "green" pieces.

All materials are green and/or recycled including a top made of Forbo Eleganza®, a linoleum produced from renewable materials, with a Medex® substrate, a sustainable, moisture resistant, medium density fiberboard (MDF) panel utilizing a formaldehyde-free adhesive system and 100% post-industrial wood fibers. Also the piece is shipped in a flatpack.

Finally C-beam calls for appropriate fabrication and economy of means, while not compromising the design. For example, the four legs are made of one aluminum i-beam split in half for maximum material yield.
